La Calabaza is the dancing-cats trend of autumn 2026: three tiny dancers stand up on a night roadside and move in perfect sync, one in a cowboy hat, one in round glasses. "La calabaza" means "the pumpkin", so this version leans into Halloween: the road is lined with glowing jack-o'-lanterns, fog rolls in, and the third dancer gets a pumpkin beanie. Upload one photo of your cat or dog: the AI copies the original reel move for move, all three dancers become your pet, and the 14-second clip comes with the trend sound.

0–2.5sThree copies of your pet sit hunched between glowing jack-o'-lanterns as the camera creeps in.
2.5–3.5sThey look up, stand on their hind legs and raise their front paws.
3.5–8sThe sync dance: paws out, paws crossed, a sway and small bounces on the beat.
8–10sThey turn sideways, show their backs and wiggle their tails.
10–14sBack to the front, a bounce at the lens with the cowboy hat closest, the pumpkins flare.
Where the trend came from
The original dancers are AI kittens from the account @meowtakeover: a trio dancing by a road in June 2026, then on 27 August the same three in a cowboy hat and round glasses, set to "LA CALABAZA (TINIEBLA Edit)" by Pumpky. A dachshund version in September pushed it further, and people now put their own pets in it before Halloween.
Built on the original reel
Unlike the other Halloween trends, this one is a remake: Seedance 2.0 receives the 14-second trend clip as a motion reference together with your photo, so the stand-up, the sync dance and the turn land on the same beats. Afterwards the clip's own audio is laid back over your video, so it is in sync from the first frame.

THE ORIGINAL TREND
The reel this scene is based on
The original La Calabaza reel by @meowtakeover, shown with credit. It is not our render. Your video copies this reel's moves and timing with your pet, adds the Halloween pumpkins, and keeps its audio.
Yes. Cats, dogs and other pets work: all three dancers become the animal in your photo, with its own ears, muzzle, fur and markings. Paws stay paws.
02Can I use a photo of a person?+
No. This scene is built for one pet standing on its hind legs. For people, try the witch costume walk or the pumpkin head photoshoot.
03Is the La Calabaza song included?+
Yes. Your video comes with the audio of the original reel, laid over the finished clip. The song belongs to its owners and we give you no rights to it; music rules differ by platform, so check them before using the clip in an ad.
04How much does it cost?+
120 credits for a 14-second Seedance 2.0 video (HD 720P). It costs more than the 10-second Halloween trends because the trend clip is sent along as a motion reference and its length is billed too. MiniMax H3 is not offered for this one. Failed generations return the reserved credits.
05What does la calabaza mean?+
"The pumpkin" in Spanish, which is why the trend took over in October.
